Ceileigh Niedermayr to become SA's first woman to participate in MMA Professional Fighters League
Niedermayr, also known as 'Smiley Savage' will take on Nigeria’s Juliet Ukah in the PFL’s African debut to be held at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town on 19 July.

CAPE TOWN - Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Ceileigh Niedermayr is set to make history as South Africa’s first woman to participate in the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
Niedermayr will take on Nigeria’s Juliet Ukah in the PFL’s African debut to be held at the Grand West Arena in Cape Town on 19 July.

This will be the first global MMA event hosted on the continent.
Niedermayr, who fights under the name “Smiley Savage”, was part of an open workout event in Congo earlier this week.
Speaking after her session, the Durban native expressed her pride in being part of this highly anticipated event.
"I am super excited to be the first South African woman to be on this momentous occasion that is the PFL coming to Africa, and I’m really looking forward to an exciting fight and bringing some Smiley Savagery to the cage come 19th of July."
