CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town said that final adjustments were underway to restore water in several areas in Khayelitsha.
Emergency work started on Saturday to replace a faulty valve that disrupted water supply to the greater Khayelitsha community.
The repair work was completed on Tuesday but several sections remain without water.
Harare, Kuyasa, Monwabisi Park, New Monwabisi and parts of Ilitha Park were among the areas without water.
Water tankers have been deployed to support residents during the outage.
Mayoral committee member for water and Sanitation, Zahid Badroodien: "I want to take the chance to thank the Khayelitsha community for being patient with our teams and also to sincerely apologise to all of our residents in KHayelitsha for the immense inconvenience that they have experienced as our teams are working hard to repair the failed infrastructure."
