The Spur Corporation has announced that the Seven Spur in Sea Point, its second oldest restaurant, will be shutting down.
The steakhouse was launched in 1967 and the Seven Spur steak ranch was opened in1968.
The branch is closing as the lease was not renewed because the landlord is redeveloping the block.
However, the Spur group says they are looking for a new home for the iconic restaurant.
Ambor says it is surprising that they have not yet been able to find a new location.

“It is a fully fledged trading business. It is not closing because it cannot make money. It is so sad.”
