European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was en route to Bulgaria on Saturday when her plane’s navigation system was disrupted.

Bulgarian authorities claim Russia jammed her plane's GPS, forcing pilots to use paper maps to safely land her at Plovdiv Airport.

This incident is one of many where there have been suspected Russian interference with GPS satellite navigation in countries bordering Russia.
