Judgment proceedings in EFF leader Julius Malema’s firearm discharge case are still underway, with dozens of his supporters patiently following events outside the court.

This marks the second day of judgment in Malema’s trial in the East London Magistrate's Court, where he faces charges of contravening the Firearms Control Act.

Since Monday, presiding magistrate Twanet Olivier has been recapping the testimonies of all witnesses who have taken the stand since the trial began and is expected to hand down judgment thereafter.

EFF supporters have gathered in large numbers to back their leader, Julius Malema, who has been seated in the dock since 9am on Tuesday morning.

The road leading to the courtroom has been blocked off with concrete barriers to give EFF members space to rally behind their leader.

EFF gazebos line the street outside the courtroom, with some supporters singing as they await judgment in his firearm discharge case.

Meanwhile, magistrate Olivier continues to read through the testimony of every witness who took the stand during the trial.
