Alleged Crime Intelligence agent, Brown Mogotsi, claims that former minister, Bheki Cele, knew of tender tycoon Vusimizi "Cat" Matlala in October 2018.
This testimony contradicts Cele's statement to Parliament's ad hoc committee, where he claimed he only became aware of Matlala in December of last year.
Testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, Mogotsi asserted that a six-page Crime Intelligence report titled Boko Haram was presented to Cele seven years ago.
Mogotsi further stated that the name "John Wick" appeared in the report.
"It has a picture of John Wick, his ID number, his previous convictions, pending cases, everything that was withdrawn against him. Commissioners, John Wick is Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala, even the picture is showing that."
