Google has launched the latest version of its artificial intelligence model, Gemini 3.
In what has been called its most anticipated release of the year, the search giant revealed a new AI model that allows users to receive more helpful, better-formatted, and more concise answers.
This comes just six months after Gemini 2.5 was launched and less than a year since Gemini 2, highlighting the race to keep up with ChatGPT operator OpenAI.

In a blog post, Google CEO Sundar Pichai says this is its 'most intelligent' model.
“It’s state-of-the-art in reasoning, built to grasp depth and nuance, whether it’s perceiving the subtle clue in a creative idea or peeling apart the overlapping layers of a difficult problem.”
He adds that Gemini 3 is also better at figuring out the context and intent behind a user’s request, saving the user time.
Improvements have also been made to its coding model for app developers and enterprise customers.
“It’s amazing to think that in just two years, AI has evolved from simply reading text and images to reading the room,” says Pichai, punting his product.

The new update also debuted a new tool called ‘Gemini Agent’, which can complete complex, multi-step tasks on your behalf.
This includes organising a user’s inbox or booking travel arrangements.
