Temperatures will reach into the mid to high 20s °C, and nights will generally stay mild, with a pattern of summer showers and strong sun between storms, according to AccuWeather.

Johannesburg sees summer warmth and thunderstorm swings

In Johannesburg, the week begins with a daytime high around 23 °C and a low near 13 °C

For the rest of the week, conditions remain variable: by Wednesday, expect partly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms as temperatures hover around 24–25 °C, dipping to 14–15 °C overnight.

Though there will be bursts of sunshine, rain showers and thunderstorms, the typical December rhythm for the city. 

Pretoria: hot days, mild nights — but storms on the cards

Monday starts with a high of about 26 °C and a low near 14 °C.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, expect mostly warm, partly cloudy weather with highs around 27–28 °C, though scattered showers or thunderstorms may strike later in the afternoons. 

As the week unfolds, full summer conditions continue, with warm days, warm-ish nights and regular chances of afternoon storms as humidity builds.
