The uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party's motion of no confidence against KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli has failed.
The outcome was declared by Speaker Nontembeko Boyce following several attempts to conduct the vote, which were disrupted by members of the MK Party and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
The disruptive members had repeatedly demanded that the vote be conducted via a secret ballot.
Despite repeated efforts to proceed, voting could not take place due to the continuous interruptions.
The chamber erupted into chaotic scenes, culminating in scuffles between MK Party members and police officers.
