Gunmen kill four family members in Port Shepstone, KZN in alleged robbery

Four family members have been killed in Port Shepstone in KwaZulu-Natal.

Police say suspected robbers broke into a house in Dweshula on New  Year's Eve and opened fire.

Spokesperson Paul Magwazasa said that officers are working on the active crime scene.

"Three of the men were carrying firearms and the other one was carrying a bush knife, the suspects started demanding money and when they were told that there was no money, they began firing shots."

He said that the attackers killed a mother and her two children after failing to get what they wanted.

"When the suspects got to the main house, they shot and killed a mother and her two daughters and fled the scene with two cellphones.”
