Gauteng police have called for patience from the community of Bekkersdal while they search for the suspects in the case of a mass shooting at a tavern in December.
Five people were arrested on Christmas eve found in two houses in Westonaria.
They have been charged with possession of illegal firearms, live ammunition and being in the country.
The firearms they were found with- are similar to those from the Bekkersdal shooting yet ballistic reports are yet to confirm if indeed these were the gunmen that shot and killed patrons.
Police spokesperson Mavela Masondo said while he cannot confirm how long it will take to get the results this case is a priority
"Hence we are saying we are still waiting for the results of the ballistic report to establish whether these suspects are linked to any other serious and violent crimes then we will charge the suspects according," said Masondo.
