The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry is set to resume with its public hearings on Monday morning.
The commission was established by President Cyril Ramaphosa in 2025 to investigate allegations of corruption within the Gauteng criminal justice system.
The allegations were made public by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi in July.
The commission is expected to continue over the next three months before tabling a report to Ramaphosa.
Madlanga Commission spokesperson Jeremy Michaels said that they can't divulge the identity of Monday's witness.
“Of course, for the safety of our witnesses, the commission doesn't generally announce who will be appearing when. We will continue with the theme of the disbandment of the Political Killings Task Team.”
