SANParks has reopened one bush camp in the northern region of the Kruger National Park, while several other camps remain closed.

In January, the park suffered severe flooding after a week of inclement weather swept away several roads and bridges.

Access remains restricted after more than R700 million in damage was caused.

The Phalaborwa Gate at the Kruger National Park has been opened to visitors.

Park officials have advised visitors to bring their own food supplies, as the Mopani Restaurant remains closed.

Visitors are also cautioned that travel will be restricted, with access only as far as the Satara Rest Camp.

All rest camps remain closed, except for camps located north of Bateleur.

The Pafuri Gate is open; however, the Pafuri Border Post remains closed.

In the south of the park, progress is being made, with both the Sabie River Bridge and the Sand River Bridge now accessible.
