Murder-accused artist Bevan van Druten will make another appearance in court on Friday.
He faces charges linked to the murder of former detective Anneke van Heerden, whose body was found next to a vehicle in Keurbooms last month.
In his last appearance, the State made an application for his referral to psychiatric observation.
Weighing in on the murder, Otto Olivier of the Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association said the victim’s cause of death will not be made public yet.
"When you work on any scene, or you're part of any investigation, there are a lot of things that do not get dissolved due to the fact that that's things that can happen in court."
Olivier added that the murder has shocked the community, where strong safety and security are prioritised.
"Everybody is living in this bubble, and we do not know of all the things that are happening around us, because people are generally in a good space when they live here."
