Mfuleni police probe murder after body found in Wesbank bushes

Mfuleni police in Cape Town are investigating a murder after the body of a man was discovered in bushes in Wesbank.

Police said they responded to a complaint in the area on Friday afternoon, where they found the body of a man with a gunshot wound.

It's understood the man was shot in the head.

Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg said no arrests have been made yet.

"According to reports, the body was discovered by young boys who had been playing nearby. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear and are under investigation," said Twigg.
