Weather conditions across South Africa’s major cities will vary sharply from sunny and warm to cloudy with scattered thunderstorms over the weekend and into Monday.

Cape Town will enjoy stable weather across all three days, according to AccuWeather.

Saturday and Sunday both reach highs of 23°C, with clear skies and plenty of sunshine expected. Conditions remain dry.

By Monday, temperatures rise slightly to 25°C, with sunny to partly cloudy conditions. Winds ease from around 26 km/h on Saturday to 19 km/h by Monday.

Johannesburg faces a wetter and cooler weekend.

Saturday peaks at 22°C with mostly cloudy skies and an afternoon thunderstorm expected, carrying a 70% chance of rain.

Sunday cools slightly to 21°C, with passing morning showers and otherwise cloudy conditions. There is a 70% chance of rain.

On Monday, temperatures recover to 23°C, but conditions stay mostly cloudy with isolated thunderstorms. Rain chances ease to 55%.

Pretoria will be warmer but similarly unsettled.

Saturday reaches 25°C, starting with some sun before turning cloudy with afternoon rain and thunderstorms. Rain probability is high at 77%.

Sunday cools to 23°C, with morning showers and cloudy skies dominating the day.

By Monday, temperatures rise to 26°C with a mix of sun and clouds, but thunderstorms remain possible in spots. Rain chances drop slightly to 55%.
