Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi is set to receive the people’s march statement at the Constitutional Hill as part of efforts to reiterate South Africa’s sovereignty and democratic progress.  

The march, planned by the ANC and its alliance partners, takes place this morning on Human Rights Day commemorations.  

Spokesperson Terrence Manase, participants will also honour victims of the Sharpeville Massacre and mark 30 years since the Constitution was adopted.

"The march will begin at Mary Fitzgerald Square and conclude at constitutional hill, forming part of the minister's ongoing engagement to safeguard South Africa's constitutional democracy.
