Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya says ActionSA is still searching for a candidate to replace Kolofelo Morodi, the MMC for Corporate and Shared Services, who was recently fired over corruption allegations.
Morodi was dismissed last week after being implicated at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry for allegedly attempting to manipulate a tender. ActionSA has also terminated her party membership, stating that it does not tolerate individuals involved in corrupt activities.
At a media briefing in Mamelodi on Tuesday, Moya assured residents that she is in the process of appointing Morodi’s replacement to ensure administrative stability.
"The position remains an ActionSA position, and I will advise once the internal processes are concluded," Moya stated. "We are not going to take too long because we rely on that department to support other departments. After Easter, we will have a new MMC."
