Police are investigating the cause of a fatal crash on the R21 in Kempton Park which occurred on Saturday morning, leaving one person dead.
Emergency services say it appears the deceased driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a roadside barrier.
He was declared dead on the scene.
Ekurhuleni emergency services spokesperson Tikkie MacDonald says the department has extended its condolences to the family of the deceased.
“The deceased was later transported to the Germiston mortuary after being taken by the Gauteng forensic pathology services. Only one lane was affected while emergency and recovery operations were underway. Traffic remains open," MacDonald said.
