Manhunt launched after Rabie Ridge triple murder

Police are searching for a man suspected of shooting and killing three people in Rabie Ridge, near Tembisa. Officers responding to the scene also came under fire, leaving two other women wounded.

Police say the suspected gunman allegedly argued with his girlfriend before shooting her and then killing two more people at a home in the Kanana section.

Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said that an officer was injured by the shattered glass from the police vehicle that was shot at.

"The two women and the officer are receiving medical treatment in the hospital, while the first three victims were declared dead. The suspect, who is identified as a security officer, has since fled the scene. The police are appealing to anyone who can assist with information about the suspect's whereabouts to report to the local police station."
