At a closed event hosted in partnership with Playtomic and attended by affiliated clubs and members, Primedia Sport, the exclusive promoter, confirmed that the upcoming Premier Padel Pretoria P2 tournament will take place in Pretoria from 26 July to 2 August, bringing the world’s best players in the globe’s fastest-growing sport to South African soil for the very first time.

As part of a strategic partnership between Primedia Sport and Playtomic, users of the platform will receive exclusive early access to tickets and a 20% discount ahead of the official public on-sale, marking a major milestone in growing the sport’s footprint locally.

Primedia Sport Vice President, Tobie Badenhorst, believes the tournament will play a key role in accelerating the sport’s momentum in South Africa.

He added that establishing a formally recognised national federation remains a critical next step for the sport locally.

A structured governing body will help regulate and support the industry, foster grassroots and elite development, and position South Africa to attract more international events sanctioned by the International Padel Federation.
