The new Netflix true-crime series Amy Bradley is Missing delves into the mystery of the disappearance of a young woman from a cruise ship in 1998.
The 23-year-old was on a Caribbean cruise with her family, who are still tirelessly searching for answers more than 20 years after she seemingly vanished with no explanation.
Unilad reports that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued an update on Bradley's disappearance amid renewed interest in the case with the release of the Netflix documentary.
The young woman was apparently last seen sleeping in a chair on her cabin’s private balcony at around 5.30 in the morning after partying in the Rhapsody of the Seas club.
The three-part series is 'absolutely gripping', says Sara-Jayne, featuring interviews with family members, other people who knew Bradley as well as police involved in the case.
"It's a family's absolute nightmare. You go on what you think will be a wonderful family vacation on board a ship, and you wake up one morning and your daughter has disappeared."

"The documentary dives into how it is possible that somebody can disappear from a ship without a single shred of evidence left behind."

Various theories are floated, from the suggestion that she fell overboard to her still being alive and residing somewhere in the Caribbean after being sex trafficked.
The first possibility seems unlikely, as no body was ever found.
"There was a suggestion that if she'd gone into the water they were close enough to the shore that her body would have washed in. Some pictures of a person who looked uncannily like Amy Bradley emerged a few years after her disappearance... but how would she have been smuggled off the ship?"
