'Ebenhaezer Dibakwane was marvel to watch, says brother

JOHANNESBURG - Popular comedian Ebenhaezer Dibakwane has been remembered as larger than life by friends and family.

The 31-year-old, also a renowned actor and skillful writer, died by suicide more than a week ago.

Dibakwane's funeral was held at church unite in his hometown of Mbombela in Mpumalanga on Friday.

His brother, Lesedi delivered a moving tribute during the service.

"What is apparent is that Ebby had an incredible mind, he was a scholar from a young age and always curious about the world around him," said Lesedi.

Lesedi also added that his brother was a marvel to watch.

"The two times that I saw Ebenhaezer at a theatre play, I literally got goosebumps because I could not notice or identify my younger brother when he was in character – that’s how good at embodying the characters he played."
