JOHANNESBURG - Former KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Premier, Willies Mchunu has resigned from the African National Congress (ANC).
The party confirmed to Eyewitness News that Mchunu submitted his resignation on Thursday.
However, he has refused to divulge the reasons for the decision.
The last time Mchunu appeared on ANC platforms was in September, during a provincial memorial held in honour of the late former Minister Pravin Gordhan.
It’s reported that the former premier said he decided to resign because he could no longer add value to the ANC due to its current trajectory.
