Mkhwanazi wins urgent interdict against businessman Mathibeli

KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, has won his court bid against businessman Calvin Mathibeli. 

Mathibeli accused Mkhwanazi of being corrupt and using police to carry out unlawful killings in the province.  

Earlier this week, the commissioner approached the Durban High Court to force the security boss to withdraw his statement. 

The court has ruled in Mkhwanazi's favour, ordering Mathibeli to retract his statement using the same media platforms he used to make it. 

He has also been ordered to pay  Mkhwanazi's legal costs.
