Labubu Dolls are the latest in pop culture trends among tweens and adults: cute plushie toys edition.
These hyped-up dolls look like a furry monster character and were designed by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung.
Labubu Dolls exist in many variations, but their features are the same: a snaggle-toothed grin with wide, mischievous eyes.
They are reportedly inspired by the creator's favourite childhood story series, The Monsters, which are 'fuzzy little Nordic elves'.
The doll has become THE IT accessory among 'cool kids' who are styling them as part of an outfit, attaching one or five to a bag, or dangling them on car keys.
The famous doll was also spotted accompanying celebrities like Rihanna and Dua Lipa.
In recent weeks, demand for the small collectable accessory has exploded. Crowds have formed outside shops, rare editions have skyrocketed in price, while many in-store and online retailers have sold out.
There are also talks of Labubu collaborating with celebs and influencers for 'special editions'.
Labubu Dolls have become so popular that 'Pop Mart' retailers in the United Kingdom have halted stocking them because some customers are fighting over them.
The soft toys are also trending on social media platforms like TikTok, with most asking where the dolls and their sudden popularity have come from, while others are expressing their love for the quirky accessory, and some just don't understand the craze.
