SA Weather Service issues heatwave alert for Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng residents have been urged to brace for scorching temperatures this week.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a heatwave alert for the province, as well as Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
The mercury is expected to hit the high thirties in some areas.
Forecaster Puseletso Mofokeng said the hot conditions are expected to persist until Friday.
Mofokeng advised residents to keep hydrated and ensure that they were in cooler areas.
