DURBAN - One of the men implicated in the murders of Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes and Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane has challenged the State to provide evidence that he had a hand to play in the crime.
This as five of the seven men implicated in the murders are currently before the Durban Magistrates Court applying for bail.
Thirty-five-year-old Lindani Ndimande, a bodyguard and taxi boss, said the State did not have any proof that he was involved in the murders of Forbes and Motsoane.
He further alleged that upon his arrest, he was assaulted by police and forced to confess to the killings.
Ndimande’s advocate, Joe Woolmarans, read his affidavit into the record.
"I challenge the State for a motive as to why I would have wanted to kill the deceased. In conclusion, I request this court to grant me bail as it deems fit."
