CAPE TOWN - Communications and Digital Technologies Minister Mondli Gungubele has assured MPs that all parties and independents will be treated fairly by the SABC.
Gungubele was responding to questions in the National Assembly as part of the economics cluster of ministers.
The minister was asked what measures had been put in place by the public broadcaster to ensure equitable treatment of parties and individuals contesting the elections.
"Each broadcasting service licensee will be expected to treat political parties and individuals and candidates fairly. Equitable treatment is unlikely to be achieved in a single programme but can be achieved in a series of programmes."
