POLOKWANE - The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF)’s Julius Malema has exclaimed that “now is the time for party agents”, as he demands punctuality, respect, and total honesty from those who will be watching over the party’s ballots on Wednesday.

Malema gave his supporters the line of march on Sunday at a rally signalling the end of his organisation’s campaign ahead of the 7th democratic polls set for 29 May 2024.

He said the red berets did everything possible to communicate with South Africans over recent months.

The fiery politician has set out guidelines of what he expects of their agents: “Party agents are people who are dressed properly, in a respectful manner.

“Party agents are [people] who [have] communication skills, including communicating nicely, even to those who don’t vote for the EFF. You can't be a party agent and be rude.”

He also asked that the sharpest minds be on duty for the party on election day.

Malema also stressed the need for those who represent the organisation across different voting districts to be honest when confronted with challenges.

“Do not lie, do not over-impress, be honest with the organisation so that we can help you where there are shortcomings. Do not be a hero, do not seek personal glorification, do not seek personal praise. Work honestly and work for the movement, and at all times tell the truth and nothing else but the truth.”
