Maduwa Paint World wins the 2024 Nedbank Business Ignite with 702
The prize includes a R200k cash injection and a professional video produced especially for the business.
After weeks of searching for Gauteng’s most exciting entrepreneurs, this year’s Nedbank Business Ignite competition proved that the province has an abundance of SMEs looking to innovate and make a difference in their communities. Expert business advisor and head judge for this year’s competition Thuli Magubane had the mammoth task of narrowing down the list of over 400 entries to just 15, before joining forces with the judging panel to crown the 2024 Nedbank Business Ignite winner.
Maduwa Paint World, a specialist paint manufacturing company based in Pretoria North, Gauteng claimed the top spot and walked away with R200 000 in cash towards their business. Founder CRodney Maduwa emphatically accepted the award at the prizegiving evening last Thursday (11 July 2024), visibly unable to contain his joy as he walked up to the stage to accept the certificate.

"This will lead to more job creation," says Rodney Maduwa. "We'll be able to control the whole value chain, we'll be able to manufacture the raw materials that we used to buy from other countries..."
