Hawks officer Edward du Plessis previously presented evidence that one of the accused, Zane Kilian used a cellphone tracking platform to ping various targets for Modack.

The evidence shows Kilian pinged slain top cop Charl Kinnear numerous times before his murder in September 2020 as well as prominent criminal defence attorney William Booth before and after an attempt on his life in April that year.

Kilian has denied the charges against him, saying he ran a legitimate business as a debt collector and offered the tracking service to clients as a side job.

His attorney also told the court that Kilian believed the tracking operation was legal.

Modack's attorney, Bashier Sibda is expected to cross-examine Du Plessis this week.
