Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen dies one month after childbirth coma

Nollywood actress Sharon Okpamen (35) passed away on Saturday (24 August).

The movie producer, actress and humanitarian died almost a month after giving birth to her second child.

The news was confirmed by Okpamen's colleague, Stanley Ontop, in a post on his Instagram account.

“Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on," he wrote. "It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur & humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry. May her soul rest in perfect peace...”

On 31 July,  Okpamen announced the birth of her second child before going into a coma after childbirth, passing away almost one month later.
