The case against South African Football Association (SAFA) president Danny Jordaan and his four co-accused has been postponed once again.
They appeared in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in Palm Ridge on fraud charges.
Jordaan is alleged to have used SAFA funds for his personal benefit, allegedly with the assistance of the organisation's executives, who are the other accused in the matter, along with a company, Grit Communications, owned by accused number two, Trevor Neetling.
The case has been dogged by nearly two years of delays, in what has been described as “stalingrad” tactics.
The latest delay follows further changes in legal representation.
Accused number five, Russel Paul, has appointed Advocate Riaan Gissing, replacing Advocate Victor Nkwashu, who remains his instructing attorney.
At a previous appearance, accused two and four also changed legal teams, with advocate Leana Fick now acting on the instructions of James Ndebele.
Ndebele was initially representing the duo and is now in the background as the instructing attorney.
The lawyers have repeatedly requested time to familiarise themselves with the case, delaying the case.
However, the defence intends to apply to have the matter struck off the roll next month, pointing to unreasonable delays.
