JOHANNESBURG - The family of murdered liquidator, Cloete Murray, and his son, Thomas, is still seeking justice, more than a year after their deaths.

In 2023, Murray and his son were shot and killed while travelling on a highway in Johannesburg.

The double murder took place shortly after they began investigating controversial businessmen, Rushil and Nishani Singh, who are still at the centre of two major police investigations.

It’s alleged the Singhs were involved in a R150 million corruption scandal, all the way in Ghana.

Before his death, Murray had begun the identification of assets to seize, including part of the Singhs' R120 million luxury car collection.

Thomas’ wife Monet Murray: "I hope that formal arrest will be made in the murder case. I hope that we can get to the bottom of this and if there are any other related names that they could be mentioned, and that we could see that coming forward. So, I really think for me personally, I would really like closure."
