6 September 2024 | 8:35Expect heavy traffic in Cape Town on Saturday when South Africa takes on New Zealand at DHL Stadium.
Residents and motorists are advised of the following road closures and restrictions for Saturday, 7 September.
Heavy traffic congestion is expected in the City before and after the game so if you have plans other than coming to the game, you might want to plan your travelling time smartly.
Fritz Sonnenberg Road
Between:
- Boom gates only
- McDonalds (P3 parking) & Fritz Sonnenberg
- Vlei Road & Fritz Sonnenberg
Restrictions
- Full closures in both directions. Installation and Protection of Synthetic Green Carpet between GPAS and DHL Stadium from 6 am to 12 am.
Stephan Way
Between:
- Fritz Sonnenberg & Hamilton's Rugby Club
Restrictions
- Full closures in both directions from 6 am to 10:30 pm
Vlei Road
Between:
- Helen Suzman Boulevard & Fritz Sonnenberg
- Green Point Cricket & Fritz Sonnenberg
- Full closures in both directions from 6 am to 10:30 pm
Fort Wynyard Street
Between:
- Portswood Road & Granger Bay Boulevard from 6 am to 10:30 pm
Granger Bay Boulevard
Between:
- Helen Suzman Boulevard & Beach Road and Beach Road & Helen Suzman Boulevard from 6 am to 10:30 pm
