Zulu history, royal family can generate revenue for KZN, says Ntuli

DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thamsanqa Ntuli said that the Zulu royal family and its history could be used to generate revenue for the province's economy.
 
Ntuli echoed Finance MEC Francious Rodgers’ sentiments while speaking at the Reed Dance ceremony at eMachobeni Royal Palace on Saturday. 
 
The Premier made reference to the British royal family and how they contributed to their country's tourism.  
 
"In England, businesses and the tourism sector have joined hands to promote their royalty which is their heritage, and their royalty is also working with them because this brings revenue."
 
The Premier said that his government was ready to promote the history of the Zulu people and the province, for this purpose. 
 
"It’s my dream, your highness, that the palaces become tourist destinations, and historical battlefields like eSandlwane to stand forever so that we can promote our local and provincial economy. We are ready to work with you in this regard."
