PICS: Another heavy vehicle crash on Kloof Nek Road - bus smashes into cars, apt. wall

There's been another heavily vehicle accident on Cape Town's busy Kloof Nek Road - this time a bus carrying tourists smashed into at least two cars and through the boundary wall of an apartment block.

The brakes of the tour bus failed as it was coming down Kloof Nek towards the CBD on Saturday, according to Ward Councillor Francine Higham.

The accident happened on the corner of Kloof Nek and Belle Ombre roads.

Emergency services were quick to the scene.

Apparently there were injuries reported, but 'no serious injuries'.

There have been renewed calls for more safety measures on Kloof Nek Road after the the crash two weeks ago where the driver of a cement truck lost control of the vehicle, hitting 17 cars.

 At least nine people were injured, and one victim is still in a coma in hospital.
