North West businessman Suliman Carrim will have to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Thursday.
This, after the Johannesburg High Court dismissed his bid to avoid testifying before the commission.
This week, Carrim approached the court trying to block a subpoena from the inquiry compelling him to appear before it.
KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner held a media briefing on 6 July 2025. It is then that Mkhwanazi implicated Carrim, accusing the businessman of meddling in police affairs.
Further allegations suggest Carrim played a role in ensuring that alleged crime boss Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala received payments from the police in relation to a R360 million tender.
He’s also accused of sharing sensitive police information and receiving kickbacks.
