The pre-trial hearing of alleged crime kingpin Katiso 'KT' Molefe has been postponed to next month.

Molefe and his three co-accused made a brief appearance in the Johannesburg High Court on 35 charges ranging from murder to conspiracy to commit murder.

Molefe is accused of calling a hit on popular musicians DJ Sumbody and DJ Vetties, whose real names were Oupa Sefoka and Hector Buthelezi respectively.

He and his co-accused, Tiegoe Mabusela, Musa Kekana, and Michael Tau, also stand accused of the murders of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart and Johannesburg businessman Don Tindleni

On Thursday, Molefe had his first appearance in the Johannesburg High Court since his matter was transferred for trial.

Molefe arrived in a bulletproof, escorted by a convoy of vehicles and an entourage of bodyguards with high-caliber weapons.

However, the matter was not ready to go ahead. The court heard that the State will make disclosures to the defence on Friday.

It has been postponed to the 12 March 2026 for a pre-trial hearing.
