CAPE TOWN - The death toll in the Eastern Cape has risen to three.
This as parts of the coastal province were hit by disruptive storms which left hundreds destitute on Monday night.
Disaster management teams are on the ground assisting those affected.
This is the second wave of severe weather to hit the province in four months.
Nelson Mandela Bay metro's acting director of safety and security, Shadrack Sibiya: "In addition, as of today, we have three fatalities in different areas and investigations on those fatalities are underway."
