Gauteng police hunting suspect linked to rape, murder of girl in Soweto

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng police are on the hunt for a suspect linked to the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Soweto.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the suspect lured the young girl to his shack in Orlando while she was playing with other children before raping and killing her.

The matter was reported to the police, who immediately responded and started searching for the suspect who is currently on the run.

With little information on his whereabouts, police are now appealing to the community to assist in locating the suspect, whose photos are now being circulated.
