Amantle Samane murder: Landlord being investigated for harbouring an illegal immigrant

JOHANNESBURG - The landlord of the home in Orlando, Soweto where six-year-old Amantle Samane was raped and murdered, may be facing a criminal case.
This as Gauteng police investigate a case of harbouring an illegal immigrant.
The move comes after the suspect was arrested on Wednesday after being on the run.

Earlier this week, Samane's body was discovered in the suspect's shack.
Gauteng Police Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni said it's concerning that South Africans continued to rent out properties to undocumented people.
"We have ensured that we have to launch that investigation, in terms of the owner of that particular space. We are working closely with those witnesses and soon we'll address this issue," said Mthombeni.
