KZN's water woes: Minister Majodina assures residents of adequate flow

DURBAN - Water and Sanitation Minister Pemmy Majodina says water challenges will soon be a thing of the past for some KwaZulu-Natal communities.
Her comments come as the department completed a project to raise the Hezelmere Dam wall by seven meters in Verulam on Friday.
The project is set to benefit various communities under the Ethekwini Metro Municipality and the KwaDukuza Local Municipality.

These communities had various protests over water issues this year.
But Majodina has assured residents that supply will be restored adequately.
“As the department, we are going to ensure that we work with municipalities that are going to benefit from here that they must speed up and accelerate their water reservoirs and reticulation.”
