Death toll of Mozambique post-election protests to rise: 'Voters feel cheated'
Post-election protests continue in Mozambique after a suspicious win by the ruling party.

The Lebombo border between South Africa and Mozambique has been closed due to post-election violence.
This comes after a suspicious win by the country’s ruling party, Frelimo, who claim they secured over 70% of the vote.

Police have been teargassing protestors while much of the public has embarked on a stay-away.
According to Orderson, the ruling party refuses to acknowledge that voters are unhappy with the results.
“They feel cheated, like their rights were taken away.”

She adds that the protests will continue as Frelimo is unlikely to peacefully give up power.
