Entries for Comrades Marathon (8 June 2025) officially open - here's what you need to know!

Runners, it's GO time!

The Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) is thrilled to announce that entries for the 98th edition of the Comrades Marathon for 2025 are officially open to all aspirant participants. 

This iconic ultramarathon, renowned for its challenging route and inspiring spirit, will take place on Sunday, 8 June 2025.

Runners from around the globe are invited to run this historic event, which traditionally attracts athletes from nearly 75 countries.

Spanning approximately 89km between the cities of Pietermaritzburg and Durban. 

What you need to know: 

• Entry period: 13 November – 9 December 2024 or until the entry cap is reached at 23,000 runners
• Race date: 8 June 2025
• Route: Pietermaritzburg to Durban – Down Run
