JOHANNESBURG - A high-ranking football official is on Thursday expected to appear in court on charges of corruption. 

The Hawks say he is part of two executives and a businessman who handed themselves over to the police. 

The Hawks’ spokesperson, Katlego Mogale, says there were arrest warrants for the trio linked to fraud amounting to R1.3 million.

The men are expected to make their first appearance at Johannesburg Commercial Crimes Court sitting in Palm Ridge.
