CAPE TOWN - The community of Elsies River in Cape Town is still reeling after 14-year-old Jahmiel van Reenen was shot and killed on his way to school this week.
Two other teens, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were shot and wounded in Tuesday's attack.
No arrests have been made yet.
It's alleged that two gunmen randomly fired shots, before fleeing.
Community and church leader Pastor Adam Alexander said it's sad that a young life was cut short through senseless violence.
Alexander said it's unfortunate that such shootings are a daily occurrence in Elsies River.

"Every day, even when I'm at church I can hear the gunshots in our community, and this is very sad," he said.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage and the police’s Anti-Gang Unit is investigating the case.
Alexander called for police visibility in the area to be maintained.
"There's horses, there's police cars and big vans in our area, but when this child is laid to rest everything is going to be quiet, and you will see no one around," Alexander said.
