DURBAN - The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has accused the MK Party of wanting to cause divisions within the Government of Provincial Unity (GPU) in the province.
This after the MK Party said it's open to working with progressive forces including the African National Congress, National Freedom Party and Economic Freedom Fighters in KZN to form a government.
However, the ANC, which is currently part of the Government of Provincial Unity which the MK Party is seeking to remove from power, said it had no plan to work with the MK Party.
"They are planting a seed of division amongst Government of Provincial Unity (GPU) partners, they want to create an impression that they're in discussion with the ANC. I can say it without any fear of contradiction that there are no discussions between us and MK Party," said party provincial spokesperson, Mafika Mndebele.
