State set to call 23 witnesses in Phala Phala burglary trial

JOHANNESBURG - The State says it intends to call 23 witnesses in the burglary trial at President Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm in Limpopo.

Imanuwela David, along with siblings Froliana and David Joseph made a brief appearance at the Modimolle Regional Court on Tuesday.

The trio is accused of breaking into Ramaphosa's game farm in February 2020 and making off with US$580,000 in cash. 

The matter was postponed to 19 May next year for the beginning of trial. 

Joseph remains behind bars while his sister and David are out on R5,000 and R10,000 bail respectively.
